About our CD's

PAST DUE - this new CD is a collection of Plainfolk's newly written material that features songs of life changing events, people, places and patriotism - many with regional flavor.

"Plainfolk’s songs are quintessential folk songs... ..serene, gorgeous and largely local".  Charlene Arsenault - Worcester Magazine 4/20/06

The View From Here - is a compilation of original songs written by Charlie Ball and performed by Plainfolk featuring "Fireman's Prayer" and "Amoskeag Mill" (used in WCVB TV Chronicle Series).

Under the Influence - is a diverse collection of traditional folk songs performed by Plainfolk but written by the folk legends that most influenced Plainfolk's early style.

Live at Mechanics Hall - is Plainfolk's first release recorded live at Mechanics Hall in Worcester, Mass.   Original cassettes have been sold out for years.

The Smiley Face Song - is a happy tune about how Smiley came to be.  It's performed with the Seven Hills Charter School Chorus and has become an anthem of World Smile Day.

Fireman's Prayer is a   song of tribute to those who place themselves in harms way everyday.  Now recognized around the world this song has been embraced by the Firefighting Community. see our guestbook
