from contemporary bonds, the music
inevitably ends up sounding
timeless."

Venues
In recent years our schedule has followed the seasons - indoors
in the colder weather (naturally) at some of our favorite intimate
venues and outdoors during the summer and early fall performing free
concerts on Town Commons, at beautiful botanical gardens and
visitors venues along the Blackstone River or at local folk
festivals.
Winter Venues
Make it a point to catch Plainfolk indoors where the acoustics
are always better and the setting more intimate. Our favorite
public venues include: The Green Rooster (Worcester), The Muse
(Londonderry, NH), Rotman's Cafe Fantastique (Worcester), Capos
(Lowell), and The Ship Room (Worcester).
Summer Venues
The lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer are just a little bit better
sitting in your lawn chair or a blanket and enjoying Plainfolk in
concert. The crowds are larger and we're usually more casual.
So keep an eye on our schedule as we may be coming to a village or
town near you! Here's a partial list of past outdoor concert
sites: Elm Park (Worcester), Tower Hill Botanical Gardens
(Boylston), Barre Folk Festival, Hardwick Fair, West Boylston
Common, Holden Common, Grafton Common, Boylston Common, Sturbridge Common,
Shrewsbury Common, Waters Farm (Sutton), Crompton Park
(Worcester), Riverbend Farm (Uxbridge), Veterans Memorial Amphitheater (Pawtucket) , Sober-in-the-Sun
Festival (Rutland), Blackstone Riverfront Concert Series and more.
